Coca- Cola Enterprises Chairman and CEO John Brock to Keynote Venture Atlanta

ATLANTA – September 29, 2011 – Atlanta ranks fourth in the nation among cities with the most FORTUNE 500 headquarters, providing a rich and diverse foundation for our state’s economy, and offering a wealth of executive experience and expertise from which local entrepreneurs can draw. Venture Atlanta, Georgia’s technology innovation resource, will harness some of that executive experience as it features Coca-Cola Enterprises’ Chairman and CEO, John Brock, as a keynote speaker at this year’s Venture Atlanta Conference, to be held October 25-26, 2011 at the Georgia Aquarium.

As a Georgia Tech graduate with a long history of conducting business in Atlanta, Mr. Brock will share highlights of his successful career and his thoughts on the impacts of technology on the changing business environment with Georgia’s leading technology entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investors, and Venture Atlanta attendees.

As an esteemed graduate of Georgia Tech’s engineering program, Brock is active in the Atlanta community. He is a current member of Georgia Tech’s Foundation Board, Chairman of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Director of the Buckhead Coalition. As the leader of one of Georgia’s largest companies, Brock and his team continue to lay the foundations that fuel Atlanta’s successful and thriving business environment.

“We are honored to be able to present the leader of one of Atlanta’s Fortune 500 companies and one of the world’s largest Coca-Cola bottlers to our Venture Atlanta audience,” said Tino Mantella, President of the Technology Association of Georgia. “John’s insight and experience with our state’s technology ecosystem will provide our attendees with a unique perspective on the impact of the technology industry on the constantly changing business environment.”

Prior to leading Coca-Cola Enterprises, Mr. Brock served as CEO of Interbrew (Belgium) and orchestrated the merger with AmBev (Brasil) to form InBev, the largest brewer in the world by volume. Brock, the 2000 Beverage Industry Executive of the Year, has also served as Chief Operating Officer of Cadbury Schweppes and chairman of Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group’s Board of Directors.
