ATLANTA - October 26, 2009 - During its second annual Venture Atlanta, Atlanta CEO Council, Metro Atlanta Chamber and Technology Association of Georgia provided attendants with the opportunity to see more than 45 technology companies and two inspiring keynote speakers from top Georgia companies. "We were pleased with the success of this year's event," said Mark Johnson, Venture Atlanta 2009 Conference Chair and a Partner at Total Technology Ventures. "The continued support and involvement of the community, strong showing of venture capitalists, and the number of great companies who participated in the event helped make it a huge success for the second year in a row."
The Venture Atlanta selection committee selected more than 20 tech firms to speak at the 2009 event. Presenting companies included: Accelereyes, Arterain Medical, Asankya, Centrafuse, Cloud Sherpas, CRE Commerce, Endavo Media, Efreightsolutions, FirstView, Message Technologies, Music Intelligence Solutions, Omnilink Systems, Oversight Systems, Pardot, Rentwiki, SoloHealth, Tangelo, Transfusion & Transplantation Technologies (3Ti), Top Eye View, Utility Associates, Vertical Acuity, and Zooz Mobile. In addition, conference attendees saw an additional 24 companies in the Venture Atlanta showcase which opened the event the afternoon of October 13th.
"This was the first year I had the opportunity to attend the Venture Atlanta conference, and I was very impressed with the quality of the companies that presented" said Matt Chagan a Vice President in Trident Capital's California office. "Georgia has a lot to offer as far as innovative companies in both the technology and healthcare verticals and the Venture Atlanta conference is a great way to see some of the highlights."
