Peter Kight
Vice Chairman
Fiserv, Inc.

Peter J. (Pete) Kight, Vice Chairman of Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), is considered a pioneer in financial services technology, specifically in electronic funds transfer, online banking and electronic billing and payment. Today he is focused on driving industry innovation, and leading strategic development, new product direction and the integration of the strengths of Fiserv and CheckFree Corporation. Kight is also on the Board of Directors of Fiserv, Inc.

Kight was the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CheckFree until it was acquired by Fiserv in December 2007.

Kight founded CheckFree in 1981 in his grandmother's basement, with a vision of providing electronic funds transfer services to businesses and consumers. That vision expanded to building infrastructures to support new services that enable and uncomplicate the electronic movement and management of personal and business finances. Today, those products and services have become pervasive, particularly the ability for consumers to view and pay bills online, and provide clients with technology efficiencies as they bring them closer to their customers around the globe.

Under Kight's leadership, CheckFree expanded its scope to multiple types of payments and processing infrastructures, leveraging business intelligence to detect and prevent fraud, electronic billing, reconciliation and operational risk management capabilities - through internal development and acquisitions.

Kight was recognized as one of 10 unsung financial heroes by Money magazine and featured in FORTUNE magazine, where CheckFree's e-payments functionality was named one of the "Seven Silver Bullet Technologies." In 2007, he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and was the first recipient of the Peter J. Kight Lifetime Achievement Award from Bank Technology News, a SourceMedia publication.

Kight is a member of the Board of Directors of Akamai Technologies, Inc., Manhattan Associates, Inc. and USA Track & Field Foundation.

Firethorn is the mobile banking and payments enabler delivering the market's first mobile consumer wallet solution supported by the nation's leading financial institutions and wireless carriers.
